TBS staff are all very pleased to announce we have now received certification for our efforts towards accumulating ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Certification adds credibility, by demonstrating that our products and service meet the expectations of you, our customers.
Here is a simple explanation of what the standards involve to give you a bit of a better idea of what we had to work towards;
ISO 9001 – Quality management
The Standard is built upon eight fundamental principles of quality management, embedded into its various requirements.
- Focus on customers.
- Provide leadership
- Involve people at all levels
- Take a process approach
- Adopt a systems approach to management.
- Continually improve
- Make decisions based on facts
- Aim for relationships with suppliers that are of mutual benefit.
OHSAS 18001 – Health and safety
ISO 14001 specifies the requirements of an environmental management system (EMS) for small to large organizations. An EMS is a systemic approach to handling environmental issues within an organization. The ISO 14001 standard is based on the Plan-Check-Do-Review-Improve cycle.
ISO 14001 – Environmental issues
The OHSAS 18001 standard (may also be mistakenly referred to as ISO 18001) is internationally accepted as a method of assessing and auditing occupational health and safety management systems. Developed by leading trade and international standards bodies, it provides a framework for organisations to instigate proper and effective management of health & safety in the workplace.
We would like to thank all our customers for their continued custom and look forward to doing more business with yourselves.
