Our Polycarbonate Fixing Buttons are designed to secure your Polycarbonate Sheets in place and reduce the chance of sheets being dislodged or ripped out with either snow loading or wind uplift.
Each pack contains 10 fixing buttons, 10 screw hole covers, and 10 foam compression gaskets. The foam compression gaskets are designed to stop water ingress where the screw fixes the Polycarbonate Sheet.
They also allow for the natural expansion and contraction of the sheets. The compression gaskets also stop uplift due to wind and sheets being dislodged by snow or wind.
- Use any sharp drill bit.
- Drill at least 40mm away from the edge.
- Drill between the ribs.
- Do not over tighten the screw fixing and squash the sheets – as a guide the button should not touch the sheet.
- Using an 18mm drill bit will allow the sheet to move due to natural expansion and contraction.
- Use to fix into purlins, noggins and rafters.
